Last week... sorry for the delay... we got about 10" of snow over a 2-day period. Now being from Colorado that meant that school was still in. But this ain't Colorado y'all. Nobody here really understands how to drive in snow so all of the taxis weren't out working for nearly 3 days. On the 4th day a buddy of mine and I went out to pick up our new computers and it took 45 minutes to an hour to make a trip that normally takes about 7 minutes. The traffic was near unbearable because of snow alongside the road and scared drivers. It's all over now but Landon had some great times out in the snow building a snowman.
Yvonne and Landon made us all some snow cream... a friend of mine here couldn't believe that we ate snow but I explained to her that it was clean snow (i.e. not yellow) and we added some milk, sugar and vanilla and it was great. Here is a hilarious video of Landon talking about it.
This is one of Landon up on the radiator just amazed with all the snow that had fallen the night before.
Here are some more pics of Landon outside making a snowman. enjoy.
Happy Birthday to Josiah!
loving the balloon at Applebees today...
oh and by the way... Josiah started walking yesterday! He just beat the one year deadline! Hooray! Good job buddy! Here is some video of it...
We made some mini blueberry muffins this morning. Landon was lovin' them. It was so cute. Towards the end of the video you'll see Landon say cheese a few times. I was holding up the camera because of video but he thought I was getting ready to take a picture.
We had some friends over last weekend so that our boys could play in the pool on the balcony. Here is a cute video of Landon and Chase.
We're watching LeeAnna today while her parents are packing up their place to go to a new flat.
I thought it was high time for a ticklefest.
here is some cute smiles out of the boy...
and by the way... his first tooth is pokin' through.
Landon likes the "Head, shoulders, knees and toes" song like most kids do. I recently found he really likes it when I control him like a puppet. After the 2nd or 3rd round he stopped and made a face like i hurt him... but he just needed a short break and then wanted tani (arabic for more or again).
the title says enough... man that last roar is hilarious! his facial expressions crack us up big time...
some friends of ours weren't able to come to landon's 2nd birthday party last week (i know, i know... i need to get some photos of that up on the blog... hold your horses!). so they wanted to take us to a nice private park to play with landon and have a picnic. this place is... i dunno... what's the word i'm searching for... oh yeah... clean! and it is also nice and quite... which is why i say it is like little america.
so my buddy and i dropped the ladies and landon off at the park to go and get the KFC or as it is called here, the 'kentacky'. we ate a nice lunch and had a great time. here are some pics and a video of landon playing on the playground.

This is a cute video of landon saying the blessing over dinner with us. One cute component is unfortunately missing.
First we have him say thank you (which he says in Arabic... sho-kran)... and after that we say everything that we are thankful God has provided for us... the food (he always points to the food), mommy, daddy, baby jo(siah), and for yeshua (to which he usually points skyward... this is the element that was missing tonight). Then he did something new tonight. he said something like "ana nane" which we think was his version of "in name." and then he says amen. how cute!
pretty cute, no?
Every day before we leave for daycare, we have Landon say goodbye to the one staying behind. He started screaming it which made us crack up... so here he is screaming goodbye to us. :)
Hey everyone... technology rules!!! I love being able to put these videos up here for you to watch. I will eventually make a link on the right to watch videos.
Anyways... many of you may recall a post i did on fetlah (click on that word to see the full post... or read the following excerpt...)
fetlah... so what it is is this: the guy takes a really long piece of dental floss type string and puts one end in between his teeth and then makes an intricate web of strings around his fingers. he then pulls it tight using his teeth so that all the little web holes close up... around the excess hairs on your face which rips them out with excrutiating force. my eyes were watering and on the verge of forming tears... especially when he did it around my ears. OUCH! after the fetlah and him trimming my nose hair, i feel all groomed up!
Well now that I have the ability to post video... I see it as my duty to bring you a video of my brother receiving the special treat of fetlah! Enjoy... you'll know that I did by how much I laughed in the background while filming it! haha...
Here is an awfully cute video of Landon and his friend, LeeAnna, jumping on the bed. This is our first video that we've uploaded on the blog... let me know your comments by clicking on the number next to the blog title and then leave a comment! We'd love to here from you...
